WorldViews

When dealing with issues as sensitive as religion, it was important to us that we not only get our facts straight but that we also presented them in a neutral and unbiased way. Our goal with this project was to give children an accurate understanding of 5 major worldviews based on the “THUMB” acronym: Tribal, Hindu, Unreligious, Muslim and Buddhist.

WorldViews is one of the biggest projects we’ve undergone to date. We started this project in the spring of 2016, and it launched in fall of 2017. The project is a multi-platform, educational experience for children grades K through 12. This project began as a video-only project but quickly grew to include print and web.

Curriculum Development

The focal-point of this project is the curriculum we have hand-written (on the computer). Countless hours of research, fact-checking and copywriting have gone into developing an original teachers guide and a student handbook.

Animation

This project hinged on having good illustrations / animations. We worked hard to produce creative and compelling imagery to take complicated ideas and communicate them effectively to children.

Video Production

Twelve weeks of script-writing, location-scouting, casting and filming went into producing 5 educational films, 5 ministry-project films, and 1 promotional film.

Copywriting

Dorothy Parker is famous for saying, “I hate writing, I love having written.” This quote rang true for us on this project. Roughly 30 pages of scripts and over 100 pages of curriculum have been written. It’s been a daunting, yet satisfying, process.

Design & Print

Good content requires good design and layout. What started out as “digital-PDF-delivery” quickly became a print project once the illustrations started coming together because c’mon… it’s just not the same reading a PDF versus holding a physical book.
